Students from non-law academic programmes at UiTM Cawangan Sarawak are required to undertake law courses as part of their curriculum despite having diverse academic backgrounds and limited prior exposure to legal knowledge. The nature of legal education requires continuous engagement with course content, understanding of legal principles and progressive preparation for tutorials and assessments. However, students may face difficulties in identifying relevant learning resources and accessing appropriate learning support in a systematic manner. To address this need, a centralised digital learning platform using Padlet to support law education among non-law Students at UiTM Sarawak was developed to provide an accessible, organised and student-centred learning environment. The platform was implemented across LAW245 (Malaysian Legal System), LAW416 (Business Law) and LAW446 (Introduction to Commercial Law). Each course has a dedicated Padlet containing course and lecturer information, A.D.A.B. guidelines, entrance and exit survey guidelines, Scheme of Work (SOW), weekly learning materials, tutorial questions, past-year examination questions, sample answers and answer guides, a Q&A section to facilitate student questions and clarification and other supporting resources. The novelty lies in transforming Padlet from a basic content-sharing tool into a centralised course-based learning platform with a consistent structure across law courses. Student feedback demonstrated highly positive perceptions regarding accessibility, organisation, learning experience, satisfaction and revision support. The platform benefits students by supporting self-directed learning, easier revision and continuous access to learning resources. It’s simple and low-cost design also provides potential for adaptation and use in other courses and educational institutions.
