The Solar Hot Water System (SHWS) is a renewable water heating technology that harnesses solar energy to heat water without relying on electricity supplied by the national grid. The system is widely applicable across residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and institutional buildings. Despite its importance in sustainable building practices, the teaching of Solar Hot Water Systems is often limited to conventional classroom lectures. This approach may reduce students' engagement and make it difficult for them to visualise the system's operation, components, and practical applications. Consequently, students may have limited interest and understanding of this renewable energy technology. To address this challenge, an innovative teaching product has been developed to provide a more engaging and interactive learning experience. The product integrates concise explanatory notes, high-quality visual illustrations, system diagrams, animations, and instructional videos to facilitate students' understanding of the Solar Hot Water System. These multimedia elements enable learners to clearly comprehend the system's operating principles, identify its major components, understand installation concepts, and appreciate its environmental and economic benefits. The primary objective of this innovation is to enhance teaching and learning by providing lecturers and instructors with an effective instructional resource that simplifies complex technical concepts. Through a combination of visual, interactive, and multimedia learning approaches, students are encouraged to actively engage with the subject matter, resulting in improved comprehension, knowledge retention, and learning motivation. In addition to supporting teaching and learning in universities, this innovation is also suitable for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, professional training programmes, and continuing education within the construction industry. The product has strong commercialization potential as a digital learning module or instructional toolkit for organisations involved in green building, renewable energy, building services, and sustainable construction. Its versatility enables it to be adopted by educational institutions, industry practitioners, and professional bodies seeking effective learning solutions in renewable energy technologies. In conclusion, this innovative teaching product offers an effective and practical approach to learning the Solar Hot Water System by combining visualisation, multimedia content, and interactive learning methods. It enhances students' understanding of renewable energy technologies, promotes sustainable building education, and supports the development of future professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills required to contribute to a more sustainable construction industry.
