Innovating Pedagogy Through Matter: Exploring Color and Creativity with Domestic Pigments in Art Classrooms- HuniRona is a creative and thought-provoking initiative that situates art and expression within the everyday. This product focused on the transformation of ordinary, often overlooked household materials into meaningful artistic expressions through experimental painting practices. The selected materials such as food coloring, turmeric, coffee, milk, and other readily available items serve as alternative pigments and tools, fostering new methods, techniques, and aesthetic possibilities in painting. The study adopts an experimental approach involving school students, who engage in painting exercises using these unconventional materials. The rationale for choosing home-based materials should be used as common materials that are easily available to make into artworks. This product guides students and teachers to make paintings from household materials. It includes practice modules, the natural pigments colour and videos showing painting techniques. By investigating how students and educators interact with unconventional pigments, the study extends current knowledge on material-based learning and provides empirical evidence on how alternative media influence creativity, imagination, aesthetic decision-making, and problem-solving skills in art classrooms, while raising awareness about sustainability (SDG 12). This approach helps teachers deliver more meaningful and hands-on lessons despite limited supplies, while students gain new creative skills. This product has strong potential as an affordable, eco-friendly art teaching kit. This product seeks to enrich the field of art education by introducing pedagogical innovations that are both accessible and contextually grounded.
