The Recreation Opportunity Spectrum (ROS) provides a systematic approach to sustainable recreation planning and management at Taman Botanikal Melaka. The research aims to identify and classify existing recreation settings based on physical, social, and managerial attributes; assess the suitability of recreational activities within different ROS zones; and develop ROS-based zoning strategies for integration into the park management plan. Recreation resources, visitor activities, environmental conditions, and management practices are assessed to determine appropriate recreation opportunities. The findings will provide a practical zoning framework that balances visitor needs, resource protection, recreational experiences, and management priorities, contributing to effective and sustainable management of Taman Botanikal Melaka.
