Excessive dependence on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) for cognitive tasks has made students increasingly passive critical thinking in face-to-face classrooms. Consequently, classrooms that should promote active engagement and meaningful human communication risk becoming silent learning spaces, highlighting the need to rehumanise learning. To address this challenge, Scanlog emerges as an integrated teaching ecosystem underpinned by the SCAN Framework (Scope, Co-Create, Apply, and Nurture), The purpose is to transform passive learners in GenAI’s driven world into active, inquiry-driven thinkers. Grounded in Andragogy and designed using the ADDIE instructional design model, the ecosystem helps instructors empower learners to think critically, collaborate effectively, and lead authentic projects that create high impact for communities, industries, and society. It integrates inquiry-driven learning, learning documentation, classroom gamification, and digital portfolio development into a unified teaching ecosystem. The effectiveness of the innovation was demonstrated through a 14-week implementation across three undergraduate communication courses at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), resulting in consistently high teaching performance ratings while enhancing student engagement, active participation, collaborative learning, reflective thinking, and authentic problem-solving. Beyond higher institution, the innovation has been adopted by corporate organisations and government agencies as an instructional training module, demonstrating its scalability, commercial potential, and real-world applicability. The innovation supports Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education by promoting human-centred, future-ready learning while advancing the Ministry of Higher Education's Student Holistic Development agenda through inquiry-driven graduates who create meaningful real-world impact .
