Issues, Concerns, and Opportunities (ICO) and carrying capacity analysis provide a systematic approach to sustainable recreation planning and visitor management in Taman Botanikal Melaka. The research aims to identify the main recreation issues, visitor concerns, and management opportunities; assess the physical, social, and environmental carrying capacity associated with recreational use; and formulate appropriate visitor management strategies to be integrated into the park management plan. Data from visitors, stakeholders, and site observations will evaluate recreational resources, visitor use, facilities, and environmental conditions. The findings will establish management priorities, acceptable visitor-use levels, and strategic actions to enhance visitor experiences while ensuring resource protection and long-term recreation sustainability.
