Addressing this pedagogical gap in the Form 4 Biology curriculum (Chapter 15), EVOVA Xr (Evolution of Ovum AR + VR) introduces an immersive, dual-technology educational game designed to revolutionize how students master learning standards 15.4.1 and 15.4.2. The primary objective of this innovation is to enable learners to visualize and sequence the intricate journey of human life, from the exact moment of fertilization and zygote formation to the early developmental stages of the two-celled embryo, morula, and blastocyst leading up to implantation. EVOVA Xr’s core originality stems from its highly accessible, low-friction technical design: utilizing standard VR headsets for immersive 360-degree guided tours of fetal development coupled with interactive formative flashcard questions, alongside rapid QR-code-activated AR markers for instant web-based cellular exploration. This allows for the application of active, student-centered teaching strategies such as experiential inquiry and spatial learning without heavy computing requirements. As a result, the game directly drives critical STEM learning outcomes, specifically advancing student spatial-temporal reasoning, scientific analytical skills, and digital literacy.
