The left-handed individuals often face a lot of physical discomfort since most furniture is made for right-handed users (M.I.A. Osman & N. Nasir, 2021). For example, foldable table armchairs that usually designed with the desk on the right side. It forces left-handed students to twist their bodies into awkward positions to write which can cause musculoskeletal discomfort (MSD). This lack of proper support leads to poor posture and puts a lot of stress on the back and neck. Over time, sitting like this causes chronic muscle pain and makes the person feel tired much faster. Additionally, these chairs also lack a proper space to store personal belongings and place a bag which forces students to keep heavy things around them. Many students end up placing their bags, books or any learning materials on the floor beside their legs or under their chairs. This research used Tinker CAD to develop a conceptual 3D prototype for an inclusive and adjustable foldable table. While plastic materials are prone to cracking and surface damage and metal frames often suffer with corrosion and joint instability, the design is going to fully construct using high-quality wood for its durability and sustainability for heavy-duty daily use. Inclusivity is not always about making one object that fits everyone. Our aim is about filling the gaps so that entire environment becomes inclusive because we want to include a group that was ignored. The study focuses the urgent need for inclusive furniture design to prevent long-term health problems and to make sure left-handed students can study comfortably.
