Cardiovascular pharmacology is widely recognised as one of the most conceptually challenging components of the preclinical medical curriculum. Learning often relies on rote memorisation rather than meaningful conceptual understanding, resulting in poor knowledge retention and reduced confidence in applying basic science concepts to contexts.

CardioLabX is a proposed interactive digital learning ecosystem conceptualised to supplement conventional teaching by facilitating the integration of cardiovascular pathophysiology and pharmacology through engaging, learner-centred digital experiences. The primary objective of this proposed innovation is to enhance students' conceptual understanding and long-term knowledge retention by enabling them to visualise disease mechanisms, explore pharmacological actions, and relate these processes to clinical outcomes through authentic patient scenarios, dynamic visualisations, guided learning activities, and formative feedback.

The novelty of CardioLabX lies not in introducing another digital learning tool, but in its curriculum-driven integration of multiple foundational disciplines within a single interactive ecosystem designed specifically for undergraduate medical education. Rather than presenting a stand-alone assessments, the proposed platform encourages students to develop mechanistic understanding by connecting pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical application in a coherent learning journey.
